Late in pregnancy with my second, I started sitting on my oldest’s Nugget play couch. It was the most comfortable surface for me with such a huge belly. Fast forward a few months, on my return to work, all I want to do is go back to the Nugget!

The Higher Ground chair was a perfect more permanent replacement. I love that I can sit in a bunch of different comfortable ways throughout the day, especially cross-legged.

I got one of these a few years ago to use as an office desk chair and have absolutely loved it. It has held up wonderfully to daily all-day use, and I just purchased another for my meditation studio. They are so comfortable and versatile (you can remove the cushion and use it as a small table if you're sitting on the floor!), and there's a nice little spot for pets to sleep under the chair. Highly recommended.

I took a leap of faith on ordering this chair and I am glad I did! Other reviewers have said they think its overpriced and I understand where they are coming from but I did reach out to the company to ask about the materials and they responded immediately that the cushion is latex wrapped in organic cotton, there are zero PFAs in the construction, and a simple clear coat on the wood. There was absolutely zero smell or off gassing when I opened the package. It costs money for a small company to source sustainable and high quality materials so in my opinion the price is very much justified. I ordered from Canada and shipping was quick and very reasonably priced. It is super solid and easy to put together. I don't think there is any else like it out there - the angle adjustment is awesome. I did have to raise my desk higher, so measure properly or make sure that you have a height adjustable desk. Overall I am thrilled with my purchase!

So much more movement and versatility with the Higher Ground chair. My body is thanking me for moving more during long photography editing sessions. I love that the seat position can change to allow for a variety of hip positions.

Finally, a "chair" that does me good, not harm. My hips are so tight due to my sedentary desk job, a long commute, and limited time to stretch. It's so uplifting to sit on this chair and feel like I'm doing something good for myself. I'm excited to see how much I loosen up over time, and how this rolls over into the non-sedentary parts of my life.

Craftsmanship is great- no tear out, well-sanded. I really like that the chair can be disassembled when not in use. It comes with adhesive-backed anti-slip "stickers" to place on the bottom surfaces, avoiding floor scratches. The cushion from Bean Products is of excellent quality- no bottoming out despite it being thin.
