The chair pieces are cut from a single sheet of sustainably sourced pine plywood. This makes the chair stronger than typical screwed and glued construction.

The forward tilt angle of the Higher Ground chair feels like sitting on a hill. It’s a more natural position, with your feet in the same plane as your hips. The adjustable tilt angle lets you find different comfortable and active postures throughout the day.

The minimal design of the Higher Ground chair fits together without requiring any tools, and can be assembled in less than a minute. This makes it incredibly portable, and easy to store.

I got into the standing desk wave back in 2013. It has always made sense to me that doing something as unnatural as sitting in front of a computer for hours every day required something to offset it. To go from standing to a normal chair has always felt off. This chair is, to me, the missing piece. If I have to do the kind of work I do, my body needs me to do everything I can to actively counteract the negative effects as they are happening. Simply performing a couple of quick stretches and exercises a few days a week isn’t enough to undo the damage. This chair is the perfect solution. Thank you for an amazing product!

I’m seriously patting myself in the back and the folks who created this. Mobility is a major focus in my life and this is the chair of my dreams. I work remotely and this is what I’ve always been looking for to maintain my asian squat.
would be perfect if it didn't have the pieces sticking up at the front of the chair. Would be better if those were on the side
I’ve wished for something like this for so long. What a beautifully, thoughtfully made piece of furniture. I use a standing desk throughout the day but have been so uncomfortable in my desk chair. This gives me options beyond my wildest dreams and has made my desk time so much more active and engaging. The first day of use I felt more energized and less achy.
